What Is There to Do in Niantic, CT?
Niantic, CT may be a small village, but there are many indoor and outdoor activities for visitors to enjoy. The village is very high on water activities, such as boating, swimming and fishing. Its close proximity to the river no doubt contributes to this coastal lifestyle. The village of Niantic, Connecticut also hosts sailboat races through the Niantic Bay Yacht Club. Other notable landmarks in the region include the Millstone Nuclear Power Plant (in Waterford) and the Rocky Neck State Park.
The Rocky Neck State Park welcomes beach dwellers to the coast of Long Island Sound, as well as several offshore islands. Some of these include Gardiners Island, Plum Island and Orient Point.
